Adventure Ridge

Located at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola, Adventure Ridge at Vail has fun activities for all ages at over 10,000 ft! Enjoy activities like climbing, disc golf, and tubing, or just take in the views while eating BBQ on Talon's Deck. Don't miss the world's best high altitude family happy hour, Friday Afternoon Club (FAC), live music, lawn games, and a great sunset view. 

To access Adventure Ridge via the Eagle Bahn Gondola, you must purchase a lift ticket. Tickets can be purchased as a package with certain activities (as indicated) or bought a la carte - click here for lift ticket information on purchasing lift tickets separately.

Feeling adventurous? Tickets are not required to hike up Berry Picker Trail from the base of Lionshead to Adventure Ridge - allow 2-3 hours.

Zipline

The 1,200-foot long zipline has four different lines so that you and your friends can zip at the same time! It's a unique way to see the mountain from an entirely different point of view. Grab the handles and hold on tight as you fly through the air at 10,350 ft.

Rules and Regulations: 1. You must be at least 45" tall and not over 80" tall   2. You must weigh over 55 lbs and under 275 lbs  3. Must fit properly in the harness  4. Closed-toe shoes preferable; heal strapped sandals are allowed 

Conditions Barring Participation: Pregnancy, recent injuries, reoccurring injuries, or past surgeries • Intoxication from legal drugs, illegal drugs, or alcohol Fast Acting Medications • Participants shall have the medication with them and on their person •  Participants shall notify guide of the location of this medication and its purpose


Kids Zipline

This kid-sized, 80-foot long zipline is the perfect thrill ride for your little adventurer.

Ropes Courses
Choose your own adventure with one of Vail Mountain’s High Ropes Challenge Courses! Put your navigation abilities to the test when you traverse through obstacles while high in the air. It’s a fun and challenging activity for the whole family. After your orientation through ground school, you have the option to choose between our North course or South course.

30 min on course experience plus ground school instruction

Rules and Regulations: 1. You must be 52" or taller to participate independently 2. You must weigh under 250 lbs 3. Able to properly fit the provided harness system 4. Physically able to balance on wires and climb the stairs 5. Pass Ground School 6. Wear closed-toe shoes

Ropes courses are inherently risky. Participants must have appropriate awareness, physical ability and dexterity. Exercise good judgment, act responsibly and obey all oral or written instructions. Vail is not responsible for articles lost during the Aerial Adventure Course experience.

Rebound Trampoline 

Catch some air at 10,350 ft. on a modified trampoline with a waist harness attached to bungee cords. Price TBD per session.

Climbing Wall

Put on a harness and scramble up a climbing wall located at 10,350 ft.! Price TBD per session.

Vail’s 45-minute Top of the Mountain Tour combines adventure with incredible summer views of Vail’s legendary Back Bowls, the Gore Range and Mount of the Holy Cross from high atop Vail Mountain in an open air vehicle. The 11-mile loop begins at Eagle’s Nest and continues beyond Patrol Headquarters to Two Elk before returning to the western end of the mountain.

Situated at the base of the Born Free Express Lift (#8) across from the Lionshead ticket office, Gore Creek Mini Golf is perfect for the whole family. The course provides putting fun for all ages on nine, par-three holes and each hole features an interpretive animal theme that spotlights local Vail Valley animal species and provides educational background and information.

Gore Creek Mini Golf will be open Fri - Sun 11am to 4pm. No lift ticket required!


Disc Golf 

Tee up for this spectacular, self-guided 18-hole Disc Golf Course at the top of the mountain. Front nine is beginner/intermediate and the back nine is intermediate/advanced. Allow 1–2 hours per nine holes. $10 disc rental. 


Vail Mountain Guided Hikes
Guided hikes on Vail Mountain are offered Wednesday to Saturday during summer operations. Private hikes are available Sunday to Tuesday and are customizable to your hiking preference! All guided hikes will meet at the Lionshead Ticket Office.

AM Tour leaves from Adventure Ridge Sales Pavillion at Eagles Nest with a Vail Mountain Hiking Guide.

If lunch is purchased, hikers will have boxed lunch waiting for them upon arrival to Wildwood.

Walking Mountains Discovery Center
Learn about the environment through fun, interactive displays. The center is a cooperative arrangement between Vail Resorts, Walking Mountains Science School and the U.S. Forest Service. Customized group programs are available. For more information please call (970) 754-4675.

Join one of our experienced guides for an exhilarating journey down Vail Mountain’s network of mountain bike trails. Designed for our guests with less experience on a mountain bike, this two hour tour includes some basic instruction and a guide to help you explore Vail Mountain.

Free-Ride Unlimited Pass

New five-resort mountain bike season pass offers terrain variety spanning three States; Vail and Keystone in Colorado, Northstar and Kirkwood in California and Canyons in Utah.

Friday Afternoon Club - the Vail tradition of celebrating Friday continues with a 11,000 ft family friendly party. Ride the Eagle Bahn Gondola from Lionshead to food, beverages, free lawn games and live music starting at 5pm. Every Friday during the summer June 26 – Aug 28. Weather permitting.
