Vail Groomed Terrain

Vail grooms more acres each night than most resorts total acreage, over 1200 acres per night. The grooming operation is the largest of its kind. Continued dedication to the best technology, training, and efficiency allows Vail to boast the best grooming in the world, available to you each morning.

Most of the groomed terrain at Vail is on the front side of the mountain, but portions of the Back Bowls are groomed nightly, allowing beginner to intermediate skiers to experience the famous Back Bowls and Blue Sky Basin.

The following runs were groomed overnight and will be ready with fresh corduroy this morning. Look for the GROOMED signs on the mountain to help find your way!

An asterisk * will be listed next to the trail's name when a run has been partially groomed or if there is fresh snow on a previously groomed trail.

Please note: for on-mountain emergencies dial 1911 from a red emergency phone or call 970-754-1911 from a cell phone.
