We have rolled out enhanced safety protocols designed to provide both guests and employees with a safe and enjoyable experience. Our enhanced safety guidelines include, but are not limited to, property-wide enhanced cleaning measures, limited touch points at check-in, cashless transactions (unless required by local regulations), shared space guidelines in elevators and physical distancing policies.

Transportation FAQs

There are car rentals and shuttles at Denver International and Eagle County Airports. Because the trip from Denver is about 100 miles, taxis and other on-demand options aren’t usually available. Our destination experts can help you reserve Epic Mountain Express, our preferred shuttle service, that offers frequently scheduled departures from Denver International Airport as well as private SUVs and vans. We can also assist with rental cars provided by Hertz.
Since Vail and Lionshead Villages are car-free, pedestrian friendly and offer a free in-town shuttle, a car is not needed. Epic Mountain Express offers a variety of shuttles to pick you up at the airport and drop you off at your accommodation, so that you can focus on your vacation. In case you are looking for a car rental, our expert team can help as well! We partner with Hertz to ensure secure, reliable and affordable cars to you and your family all year long.

Winter: Beginning Thursday, Nov 23, 2018, there is free parking in the Vail Village parking structures for the first 1.5 hours and after 3pm until 3am. Daily rates vary based on length of time and max out at $50 per day.

Summer (non ski season): Parking during the day is free at either parking locations in Vail Village and Lionshead. There is no free overnight parking and parking rates at the town parking structures or in various condos and hotels start at $25 a day.

Overall, chances are that you will find better rates when booking a stay between Sunday through Thursday, when most people are in school or at work. This can change during popular times such as Christmas, New Year's, Martin Luther King Day, and President's Week.
