Adventure Ridge

Located at the top of Vail's Eagle Bahn Gondola, Adventure Ridge has an array of outdoor activities and dining in both summer and winter - all at 10,350 ft!

Summer

Enjoy activities like climbing, disc golf, and tubing, or just take in the views while eating BBQ on Talon's Deck. Don't miss the world's best high altitude family happy hour, Friday Afternoon Club (FAC), live music, lawn games, and a great sunset view. 

To access Adventure Ridge via the Eagle Bahn Gondola, you must purchase a lift ticket. Tickets can be purchased as a package with certain activities (as indicated) or bought a la carte click here for lift ticket information on purchasing lift tickets separately.

Feeling adventurous? Tickets are not required to hike up Berry Picker Trail from the base of Lionshead to Adventure Ridge - allow 2-3 hours. 

 
ZIPLINE 
The 1,200-foot long zipline has four different lines so that you and your friends can zip at the same time! It's a unique way to see the mountain from an entirely different point of view. Grab the handles and hold on tight as you fly through the air at 10,350 ft.

KIDS ZIPLINE 
This kid-sized, 80-foot long zipline is the perfect thrill ride for your little adventurer.

CHALLENGE COURSE 
Choose your own adventure with one of Vail Mountain’s High Ropes Challenge Courses! Put your navigation abilities to the test when you traverse through obstacles while high in the air. It’s a fun and challenging activity for the whole family. After your orientation through ground school, you have the option to choose between our North course or South course.

KIDS ROPES COURSE
The Kids Ropes Course may be smaller than the North and South Courses, but it still provides ample challenges for our younger guests.
 

GUIDED HIKING
Guided hikes on Vail Mountain are offered Wednesday to Saturday during summer operations. Private hikes are available Sunday to Tuesday and are customizable to your hiking preference! All guided hikes will meet at the Lionshead Ticket Office.


GUIDED BIKING
Join one of our experienced guides for an exhilarating journey down Vail Mountain’s network of mountain bike trails. Designed for our guests with less experience on a mountain bike, this two hour tour includes some basic instruction and a guide to help you explore Vail Mountain.
 

MOTOR TOURS
Vail’s 45-minute Top of the Mountain Tour combines adventure with incredible summer views of Vail’s legendary Back Bowls, the Gore Range and Mount of the Holy Cross from high atop Vail Mountain in an open air vehicle. The 11-mile loop begins at Eagle’s Nest and continues beyond Patrol Headquarters to Two Elk before returning to the western end of the mountain.
 

DISC GOLF 
Tee up for this spectacular, self-guided 18-hole Disc Golf Course at the top of the mountain. Front nine is beginner/intermediate and the back nine is intermediate/advanced. Allow 1–2 hours per nine holes. $10 disc rental.

REBOUND TRAMPOLINE
Catch some air on a modified trampoline with a waist harness attached to bungee cords.

Put on a harness and scramble up!

BISTRO FOURTEEN
Named after the view of the fourteen thousand foot Mount of the Holy Cross, Bistro Fourteen offers casual, sit-down dining with a full bar at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola (#19). Perfect for lunch, après, or a post-Adventure Ridge appetite.

GORE CREEK MINI GOLF
Situated at the base of the Born Free Express Lift (#8) across from the Lionshead ticket office, Gore Creek Mini Golf is perfect for the whole family. The nine, par-three holes each feature an interpretive animal theme that spotlights local Vail Valley animal species and provides educational background and information.

Winter

Play in the afternoon and well into the night at Adventure Ridge with ski bikes, kids snowmobile track, a slippery slope of rip-roaring tubing lanes and more. A snow park the size of a football stadium on top of the mountain and family food favorite Bistro Fourteen. The Eagle Bahn Gondola runs from breakfast till night. Drink hot chocolate and watch the sun set over the bowls. Adventure Ridge, a family experience Like Nothing on Earth...


TUBING
Grab a tube, hop a lift, get a rush. Our multi-lane tubing hill whisks you downhill while the easy-access surface lift takes you back up quickly.

 
SKI BIKING
Part bike. Part skis. All adventure. Reservations are recommended, please call (970) SKI-VAIL (754-8245).
 
KID'S SNOWMOBILE
Kids cruise around Blizzard Speedway in specially crafted mini-snowmobiles.
 
ZIPLINE
The four-line, 1,200-foot zipline tour is a new and unique way to see the mountain from an entirely different point of view.
 
SNOWSHOEING
From animal tracks to the mountain pine beetle, the Nature Discovery Center is your source for all things wild - including guided snowshoe tours with an expert naturalist. 2pm daily, no reservations required. Daily AM snowshoe tours are also offered through the Vail Resorts Nordic School. For more info about AM tours call (970) 754-3210.

If you are planning to go to Adventure Ridge while the mountain is open to skiers and riders during the day, you will need to purchase a Scenic Ride Ticket. The Eagle Bahn Gondola is free after 3:30pm.

If you plan on eating at one of our restaurants at Eagle's Nest, you might consider the Scenic Ride and Dine Ticket.
