Coyote’s Escape - Coyote’s Escape is an easy to follow twisting path through the trees on the skier’s right of Simba in the Chair 26 area. It is accessed toward the top of Simba on the right. Follow the Coyote sculptures on top of logs along the trail.Coordinate Q5 on our trail map.
Coyote’s Den – Coyote’s Den is an easy to access ski through cave to the skiers left of Simba just after crossing under chair 26. This is the perfect adventure for our level 4 groups. They can ski the Den and then directly across Simba, access the Coyote’s Escape. Coordinate Q5 on our trail map.
New The Roost – The Roost is located on the skiers left of Eagle’s Nest Ridge and is a great first glade run for competent beginner skiers and boarders. Participate in our Owl Ske cology and learn some really cool facts about the Great Horned Owl along the way. Coordinate M4 on our trail map.
New Wildwoods – Another great glade option for advanced beginners located on the skiers’ right of Eagle’s Nest Ridge just past the top of the Avanti Express lift. Located directly across from The Roost, this adventure zone also has Ske Cology trail signs providing an opportunity to learn about the trees on our mountain. Coordinate M4 on our trail map.
New Hideout – Hideout is an awesome intermediate to advanced glade area located just beyond The Roost and Wildwoods on the skiers right side of Eagle’s Nest Ridge. This tree run has steeper aspects more suited to an accomplished skier/boarder that can make turns on demand. The glade offers widely spaced trees and usually hides great snow days after a storm. Magic Forest - Upper Magic Forest is accessed on the skier’s right side at the top of Minnie Ha Ha in the area below chair 15 on the Lionshead side of the mountain. Follow the Eagle sculptures on top of the logs on an easy to follow winding path through the trees. Upper magic forest has sweeping turns, rolls, and a few short steeper sections. Coordinate N6 on our trail map. Lower Magic Forest is accessed half way down on the skier’s left side of Practice Parkway in the Area below Chair 15 on the Lionshead side of the mountain. The low angle trail follows eagle sculptures on a path through the trees. Coordinate N6 on our trail map.
Sherwood Forest - Sherwood Forest is located on the skier’s right side of Practice Parkway in the area below Chair 15 on the Lionshead side of the mountain. Sherwood Forest has a ski through a-frame at the top and many paths through the trees down to Cub’s Way. You can follow fox sculptures on logs for reference points if you choose. Porcupine Alley - Porcupine Alley is located on the skier’s left side of Cub’s Way between the top of Chair 8 and Columbine. Porcupine alley has a ski through a-frame at the top and open tree skiing leading onto a road that takes you to Columbine. You can follow the porcupine sculptures on logs for reference points if you choose. You can follow the porcupine sculptures and Ske Cology Signs if you are interested in learning about the Porcupines that live on our mountain.

Chaos Canyon - Chaos Canyon is located off Lion’s way below Mid-Vail on the skier’s right side before the intersection with Avanti. Chaos Canyon has three paths. Ricochet has two low to the ground “fun box” park features. Ricochet is a wide open expanse hidden between tree islands and is a great place to hone in your turning skills. Thunder and Tornado feature banked turns and rolls that wind down to Gitalong Road. Coordinate K5 on our trail map.
Buckskin Glade - Buckskin glade is located towards the top of Ramshorn on the skier’s left in the Chair 4 area above Mid-Vail. Buckskin is a heavily treed adventure zone with steep sections through the trees. Choose your own way through this challenging area. Coordinate I3 on our trail map.
Bearclaw Glade - Bearclaw Glade is located on the skier’s right side of Boomer in the Chair 14 area below Two Elk. It has winding paths through the spruce and fir trees of the upper mountain. Coordinate C3 on our trail map.
Pony Express - Pony Express is located on the skier’s left side of Whippersnapper in the Golden Peak area. It starts with rolls through the trees and then after a large left banked turn enters an aspen glade and continues through a series of steep rolls before rejoining whippersnapper. Thunder Cat Cave - The easiest of all the Kids Adventure Zones, Thunder Cat Cave is an easy to access, convenient ski through cave at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola on the Chair 15 beginner area in between the magic carpets. After a short lesson on stopping and turning, students are ready for their first adventure, even before reaching the chairlift. Coordinate O5 on our trail map.
