"...Low-impact, low-torque techniques leading to efficient skiing on all terrain from groomers to powder to bumps - meaning less fatigue, smoother runs, and longer days."
SKI YOUNGER NOW
Learn how to modernize your old skiing habits with Ski Younger Now, a retraining program for older skiers and skiers returning to the sport after recovering from injury. Taught by Vail's most experienced instructors and developed by older ski instructors over the past 20 years, this program has been proven effective in extending on-snow careers for recreational skiers. We can show you how to ski without muscling the skis around. Ski Younger Now teaches you how to ski by letting the ski and terrain shape do the work for you. By letting the ski and terrain shape do the heavy lifting, you ski smoothly and in balance with each turn. This program uses low-impact, low-torque techniques leading to efficient skiing on all terrain from groomers to powder to bumps - meaning less fatigue, smoother runs, and longer days.
Ski Younger Now is a three-day clinic:
DAY 1: Practice the basics on how to start and finish each turn with little muscular effort. Reconvene at après-ski to discuss the dynamics of modern skis and boots.
DAY 2: Learn how to use terrain shape to guide turns in order to flow down the mountain like water.
DAY 3: Tackle more challenging terrain and snow conditions and discover how efficient, low-impact skiing enables confidence and control in bumps and powder.
