Vail Mountain is a great place to enjoy a hike with trails beginning at the base areas and others starting from the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola and Mid Vail. Don’t
forget to stop up top at Talon’s Deck at Eagle’s Nest or the Mid Vail BBQ for refreshments or lunch on the patio with amazing views of the 14,000 ft Mount of the Holy Cross and the Gore Range! Half day and full day public hikes are available by reservation and private hikes can be customized for your group. Trail maps are also available for self-guided hiking on Vail Mountain.

Vail Mountain offers scenic horseback trail rides through Game Creek Bowl! The 40-minute tour located at Eagle’s Nest at the top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola is available daily for adults and children, ages 7 and up. Pony rides are available for children ages 2–6. Other rides are available at nearby stables.
