Vail Snow Daze: December 11-13, 2015

Vail Snow Daze  The annual early-season kickoff to Vail’s winter season is returning for its eighth year this winter! One weekend packed full of celebration for all ages, and best of all, it’s free. North America’s largest early season kickoff bash, Vail Snow Daze features three full days of on-and-off-mountain action, topped with two packed nights of national headliner concerts and parties. 2015 artists TBA. Past performers have included Michael Franti & Spearhead, Wilco, Rusted Root, O.A.R., and Barenaked Ladies, just to name a few.  

Vail Holidaze: December 19, 20 and 31, 2015

Vail Holidaze is the perfect place for family celebration this holiday season, as the town and mountain come alive with lights, sounds, events and cheer during the month of December. Embrace the holidays with the annual tree lighting ceremony, lantern walk and New Year’s Eve torchlight ski down and fireworks, all of which are free and open to the public. 

SKADI Fest: January 20 - 22, 2016

  Gather your girlfriends and join in on female specific ski demos, customized lessons and events. Vail Mountain presents ‘SKADI Fest,’ a first annual Women’s Weekend featuring equipment demo and expo village, guided ski school experience with female instructors and VIP events, all taking place in Lionshead and all necessary ingredients for a fabulous, exclusive, women’s-only event in Vail. Skadi (pronounced ‘Scotty’) means the Norse goddess of winter. In essence, this will be a gathering of skiing goddesses, near and far.   

CarniVail: February 6 - 9, 2016

  Vail gets hit with a spicy taste of New-Orleans-style fun when CarniVail returns to Vail this February. Guests will enjoy Mardi Gras merriment and all the Cajun fixin’s from a legendary crawfish boil to the Fat Tuesday Parade and Street Festival. CarniVail is certain to be the ultimate Mardi Gras celebration at 8,150’. With a full lineup of activities including on-mountain crawfish boils, non-stop Cajun Après and After-Dark parties, Fat Tuesday Parade and street festival, fun contests, prizes and giveaways, and much more, CarniVail is one celebration not to be missed.

Burton U.S. Open: February 29 - March 5, 2016

Vail Burton US Open The 34th Burton US Open Snowboarding Championships are returning to Vail Mountain, Feb. 29 – March 5, 2016. The world’s best will be competing at Golden Peak for the title in Halfpipe and Slopestyle.
