Accessibility at Vail

Adventure Ridge Activities

Adventure Ridge, Vail’s mountaintop adventure center can be reached via the Eagle Bahn Gondola that is wheel chair accessible. Call the Mountain Information Center at (970) SKI-VAIL (754-8245) for more information or reservations.

Town of Vail accessible parking is available in both the Lionshead and Vail Village public parking structures. The Lionshead parking structure offers the best access to the Eagle Bahn Gondola, which is located approximately 300 yards from the accessible parking spaces. The Vail Village parking structure offers access to the slopes via a free in town bus service that is equipped with lifts to transport guests to Golden Peak where the Riva Bahn Express and Gopher Hill Lift are located. The Town has also provided two accessible spots that are located on the top level of the Vail Village structure near the Transportation Center; these spots are available on a first come, first serve basis. Elevators service all levels of both parking structures. Standard Town of Vail parking rates will apply where applicable.

Additionally, there are two accessible spaces with lift access in Golden Peak and Lionshead. The Golden Peak spots are located on the east side of the main parking area in the Children's Center drop-off lot. This lot is designated as a drop-off only area for the Children's Center and does not offer public parking; therefore the two-space maximum will be strictly enforced and the spots may temporarily be used for drop off purposes on high volume days . To access the Lionshead parking spots please call (970) 754-3264. These spots are available on a first come, first serve basis and you will need the appropriate placard displayed in your vehicle or on your license plates. Curbside equipment and guest drop off can be accommodated in both of these areas during regular ski area operating hours.

Please call the adaptive office at (970) 754-3264 for equipment and drop-off assistance.

Drop Off Locations

Equipment and guest drop-off is available at the Golden Peak Lodge near the Riva Bahn lift. From I-70, take the main Vail exit (#176), head east, following the signs towards the Vail Village parking structure, proceed past the structure (continuing east), and turn right at the stop sign onto Vail Valley Drive. Follow this road until you come to the Golden Peak Lodge building. The main parking area located between the Lodge and Children’s Center offers several options: curbside equipment service, guest drop off, and valet parking that is available in the lower lot for $50 a day (pricing subject to change). A limited number of accessible spaces are also available at Golden Peak inside the Passport Club private garage subject to their fees. You will need to make reservations with a credit card for the Passport Club spaces by calling (970) 754-8020. When parking in the Passport Club garage, please exit the garage near the main building stairs and proceed inside the building to the elevator and follow signage.
