EpicMix is Vail's connection of the on-mountain experience to the digital world. Free professional on-mountain photography for you to share with your friends and family, the ability to see what lifts you have ridden and how many vertical feet you have skied. Also, earn digital pins for your accomplishments on the mountain. New to EpicMix this year is EpicMix Racing, where you can see where you stack up against your family, friends and Lindsey Vonn at Vail's Black Forest Race Course!
All of this is made possible by RF technology in season passes, PEAKS advance tickets, and day lift tickets. Anything that has a "Hard Card" is able to take advantage of this technology. It's easy and doesn't require a cell phone or computer on the slopes! Have a paper lift ticket? No problem! Just head into any of our ticket sales office and ask for a free card to use with EpicMix!
For free on mountain photography, look for EpicMix photographers in the following locations on Vail Mountain:
- Top of the Eagle Bahn Gondola (designated portait area! Great for larger groups, amazing views of Mt. of the Holy Cross in the background)
- Top of Chairs 4/5/11 (view of the Gore Range, Back Bowls, Blue Sky Basin, hint: look for friendly patrol dogs to take photos with)
- Top of Chair 2
- Top of Chair 3
- Action Photo Area - on Hunky Dory, go skiers right from the Top of Chair 3 and look for green signage
- Lionshead and Golden Peak Ski School
- Adventure Ridge Tubing hill
- EpicMix Race course at Black Forest (by Chair #2 Avanti Express)
Once you've had your photos taken and your pass scanned by the photographer, head to EpicMix.com and enter in the number on the pass and set up your account. Your pictures will be waiting for you!
