Early Season event lineup

Early season may be known for a relatively quieter vibe, but there’s still plenty of action! Our signature Snow Daze concerts are just the start: here’s a sampling of some of the events we’re looking forward to this November and December.

Vail Opening Day Vail’s Opening Day: November 20, 2015
When the lifts start turning at Vail on November 20, 2015, where will you be? The excitement is contagious as the lifts start turning for the 2015-2016 season. Enjoy the camaraderie, breakfast burritos, music and swag giveaways - all typical happenings on Vail’s Opening Day.
Vail America's Opening  America’s Opening: November/December 2015
This event offers the whole enchilada, including live concerts, downhill racing, food and drink tastings and so much more, all in the late November/early December time frame. Think ski boots by day, tuxedos by night.
Vail Snow Daze  Vail Snow Daze: December 11-13, 2015
The annual early-season kickoff to Vail’s winter season is returning for its eighth year this winter! One weekend packed full of celebration for all ages, and best of all, it’s free. North America’s largest early season kickoff bash, Vail Snow Daze features three full days of on-and-off-mountain action, topped with two packed nights of national headliner concerts and parties. 2015 artists TBA. Past performers have included Michael Franti & Spearhead, Wilco, Rusted Root, O.A.R., and Barenaked Ladies, just to name a few.
  Vail Holidaze: December 19, 20 and 31, 2015
Vail Holidaze is the perfect place for family celebration this holiday season, as the town and mountain come alive with lights, sounds, events and cheer during the month of December. Embrace the holidays with the annual tree lighting ceremony, lantern walk and New Year’s Eve torchlight ski down and fireworks, all of which are free and open to the public.
