Vail Survivor Casting Call and Family Challenge

The competitive spirit comes to life in Vail the weekend of Aug. 17 as producers from CBS4, home of the popular CBS reality show Survivor, come to the resort community for the only Survivor casting call in Colorado this year. The casting call, combined with a new event called the Vail Family Adventure Challenge, promises to test the competitive spirit of participants of all ages. Weekend lodging rates for the Survivor Casting Call/ Family Adventure Challenge begin at $129 per night, making it easier for contestants to play and stay in Vail all weekend long.
Survivor Casting Call
The first 300 competitors to sign up at http://denver.cbslocal.com/vailsurvivorcastingcall/ will get a chance to show producers why they should be on Survivor. On Saturday, Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. prospective reality TV stars will get a chance to record a one-minute video audition for the 27th season of the CBS hit show. Participants are encouraged to get creative and bring props for a chance to be on television.
Family Adventure Challenge
Vail has taken the casting call to the next level by integrating a family-friendly competition with the inaugural Family Adventure Challenge. This free event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Solaris Plaza and includes individual and team challenges, games and contests. Family team competitions such as the “Water Balloon Toss of Death” and the “Escape from Babagoza” obstacle course will challenge participants of all ages. “The Great American Apple Stack Challenge,” “Hula Hoopalooza” and the gummy worm-eating contest are just a few of the individual activities going on during the Family Adventure Challenge. Food, beverage and entertainment also will be provided throughout the day’s event.
