UPCLOSE: FOOTWORK - 25TH ANNIVERSARY BENEFIT PERFORMANCE

Festival Director Damian Woetzel hosts a special 25th Anniversary Benefit Performance, which takes an UpClose look at virtuoso footwork, celebrating amazing technical feats in dance styles ranging from Memphis jookin’ to ballet and Tango featuring Charles “Lil Buck” Riley, Argentinian tango sensation Gabriel Missé, Festival Artists-in-Residence Tiler Peck and Robert Fairchild, American Ballet Theatre's Herman Cornejo, modern dance star Fang-Yi Sheu, and other Festival Artists.
Proceeds from the UpClose: Footwork performance will benefit the Vail International Dance Festival.

VIP Tickets for the 25th Anniversary Benefit Performance are $275, which includes (1) premium UpClose ticket to the performance, plus an exclusive post-performance dinner party with Festival artists. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Vail International Dance Festival is a treasured celebration of dance, renowned for its artistic excellence and unparalleled programming. Performances will take place July 28 through August 10 at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail and the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek, while community events will be held in the streets and villages throughout the Vail Valley. Under the leadership of Artistic Director and former New York City Ballet Principal Dancer Damian Woetzel, the 2013 Vail International Dance Festival (VIDF) will host a total of 11 performances. The event’s spirited atmosphere transforms Vail into a culturally rich environment that is inviting to dance aficionados and newcomers alike.
