Taste of Vail is the nation's premier spring food and wine festival held at iconic locations throughout North America's most popular mountain resort showcasing the finest chefs in Vail and the nation's top vintners.
Nordic Wine Tour - Wednesday April 3, 2013 | 2:00 pm -5:00 pm | Vail Nordic Center - $50.00
Introducing a new event for 2013 - the Nordic Wine Sampler. Taste of Vail has teamed up with the Vail Nordic Center to offer an event that allows participants to snowshoe or cross country ski from station to station sampling specialty wines. Cheese pairings also will be available at each station. This new event kicks off the 23rd Annual Taste of Vail on Wednesday, April 3 from 2-5 p.m. at the Vail Nordic Center located at the Vail Golf Course. Cost is $50 for equipment rentals and the tour ($40 is rentals are not needed).
9th Annual Colorado Lamb Cook Off and Apres' Ski Tasting - Thursday April 4, 2013 | 3:00 pm -6:00 pm | Vail Village - $75.00
Enjoy one of Vail's favorite spring events. The annual Taste of Vail Lamb Cook-Off and Apre's Tasting will be held on the streets of Vail.
Sample an array of lamb dishes, courtesy of the Vail Valley's finest chefs and the Colorado Lamb Board. In the theme of "Life Beyond Chardonnay, Cabernet and Merlot" Taste of Vail's participating wineries will be showcasing wines a wide array of varietals that include Reisling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Zinfandel. Spirits and beer will be there to enhance your experience.
Individual tasting tickets will be available for $4 each
Event tickets available for $75 in the venue.
Mountain Top Picnic - Friday April 5, 2013 | 12:00 pm -2:30 pm | Eagles Nest, Vail Mountain via Eagle Bahn Gondola - $135.00
Included in Festival Pass Scenic Eagle's Nest atop Vail Mountain, at 10,350 feet above sea level, serves as the venue for a small army of Vail's restaurants to serve up gourmet picnic fare. Held in a hand built snow arena, the guest wineries follow up with a marvelous selection of fine wines, spirits and beer while Mother Nature has historically served up some of Vail's famous Champagne powder. Make sure to dress appropriately.
Grand Tasting and Auction - Saturday April 6, 2013 | 6:00 pm -10:00 pm | Vail Marriott Grand Ballroom - $175.00
The grand daddy of wine, spirits, beer and food tastings. Experience Taste of Vail's annual decadent and unparalleled wine and culinary spectacle. This event features all of Taste of Vail's wineries and restaurants, spirits and beer. The evening will include Taste of Vail's Auction. CHEERS!
