Artistic Director Anne-Marie McDermott plays Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 27. The evening begins with Benjamin Britten’s haunting interludes from his opera Peter Grimes, and concludes with the 3rd Symphony of Brahms, a work considered by 19th century critic Eduard Hanslick as “artistically the most nearly perfect."
