If you think you know your favorite mountain...Think again. The Adventure Sessions matches you with a top guide and a small group of similarly skilled skiers and riders. You’ll get the most out of your day, go places that you may not have been before, cut lift lines and pick up tips and technical information along the way.

Curious Critters Ski School

Gore Range Natural Science School Naturalists provide brief slope-side lessons about Rocky Mountain Wildlife as part of the Curious Critters Ski School. Each week programs focus on a different category of winter critters including Climbers, Diggers, Jumpers and Flyers. Programs are offered for ski school students and drop in visitors daily at the Nature Discovery Center at Adventure Ridge, and on Mondays at the entrance to Porcupine Alley from 1pm to 2:30pm and Tuesdays at the bottom of Golden Peak from 1pm to 2:30pm. Look for the naturalist in the red jacket and the “Stop for a Nature Lesson” sign.

Kid's Snowmobile at Adventure Ridge

Kids cruise around Blizzard Speedway in specially crafted mini-snowmobiles. Designed for children 6-12 years of age and less than 110 pounds, the snowmobiles travel at a child's preferred pace. $25 per person

Moonlight Snowshoe Tours

Journey into the night under the captivating glow of the full moon. Learn about astronomy and the habits of nocturnal animals while you snowshoe through the pristine silence of the moonlit mountains.

NASTAR

NASTAR is the largest recreational ski and snowboard race program in the world, providing fun, competitive and easily accessible racing. NASTAR is located just to the east of Chair 2 off Avanti. Cost is $10 for 2 runs or $12 for unlimited racing during the day of purchase.

Nature at Night

Meet at the Discovery Center for a family nature talk including fun activities for children. Each week we’ll offer one of the following programs: Wild Cats: Scary or Necessary, Creatures in the Dark, The Fox: Night Hunter in your Neighborhood, and Eyes on Owls. No reservations required.

Ski Biking at Adventure Ridge

Part bike. Part skis. All adventure. Our nighttime guided tours are unique to Vail. Offered to intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders 14 and up and 54 inches tall. Allow up to 2 hours for ride time. $65 per person Reservations are recommended, please call (970) SKI-VAIL (754-8245).

Snowshoeing & Cross-Country Skiing

Trampoline at Adventure Ridge

This bouncing bungee harnessed trampoline sends you sky high so you can try out your acrobatic feats fearlessly. Dual trampolines make it fun to bounce with a friend. $10 per person
