Getting Here

Vail is located 100 miles West of Denver International Airport. Accessed by 3 exits off of Interstate 70, the main Vail exit is #176, go back under the highway from the roundabout, and head around the second roundabout. Going right (West) will take you towards the Lionshead Parking Structure. Follow the roundabout to the East to access the Vail Village Structure.

Airport Information

Vail is serviced by both Eagle Airport and Denver International Airport. Eagle airport offers non stop service to major cities and is a short 20 minute drive from Vail, while Denver International is only 2 hours East of Vail. View airport information and flight specials here.

From Denver International Airport (DEN)
- Take Pena Boulevard from DIA to Interstate 70 (I-70) west
- Proceed for approximately 120 miles (estimated time: less than 2 hours) to the Vail exit #176

From Eagle County Airport (EGE)
- Take Cooley Mesa Road (main airport road) to Highway 6. Take a right on Highway 6. You will be heading east.
- Follow Highway 6 to signs for Interstate 70 (I-70) east.
- Proceed on I-70 for approximately 25-30 minutes, to the Vail exit #176.

Bus Service
Town of Vail Buses are FREE and run regularly between the eastern end of Vail Village and the western end of LionsHead. Scheduled buses to East Vail and West Vail run frequently as well. The town's NextBus system gives you immediate real-time bus arrival information from any stop on Vail's in-town out outlying bus routes. For information on Vail's Bus Service, call 970-479-2358.
